In 1986 the largest ever nuclear plant accident in history took place at Chernobyl in the former Soviet Union. Within this installation Adair pays close attention to how the natural environment responded to the devastating event. Throughout the space Adair has included furniture containing personal effects from that period which evokes atmospheres of a not-so-distant past for the viewer. Using a broad range of colour Adair paints directly onto the  walls, in some places painting over portraits of soviet leaders showing how nature has slowly erased the evidence of the past.
